Concomitant Medications
Medication records help describe treatment occurring around a study without assuming it is the study intervention itself.
Describe treatment alongside a study
A participant may report a treatment name and a partial start date. Store the original report and its provenance before attempting standardization. A product identifier in an application is not automatically an approved dictionary code.

| Identifier | Domain | Teaching explanation | Example JSON type | Example value |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| STUDYID | CM | The study identifier gives the medication-use teaching record its study context. Keep it with the medication description and timing when assembling an extract. | string | CLD-SYN-001 |
| DOMAIN | CM | The value CM identifies the concomitant-medication context in this lesson. It separates medication-use descriptions from the study-treatment exposure context illustrated by EX. | string | CM |
| USUBJID | CM | The fictional subject key associates medication-use information with a participant. It supports a subject-level connection to other domains, but does not prove that a medication caused or treated a particular event. | string | SYN-001 |
| CMSEQ | CM | This example sequence number separates rows inside the CM teaching extract. It is useful for referring to an observation, but the original collection identifier is retained separately in the mapping manifest. | number | 1 |
| CMTRT | CM | A fictional treatment phrase illustrates recorded treatment text. It is not a drug dictionary entry, code or recommendation. | string | Fictional supportive treatment |
| CMSTDTC | CM | A treatment history may contain a month rather than an exact day. This authored example preserves the month as text for later review. | string | 2025-01 |
| CMENDTC | CM | Null shows an absent value in our JSON convention. A production mapping would distinguish the source's reason for absence before choosing its output representation. | null | null (missing) |
